Joanna Peña

Joanna is the HR & Office Manager at Silicon Valley Finance Group. For the past 5 years she has been working in the same capacity for technology start-ups.

Prior to handling HR & Office Operation roles, Joanna worked at eBay as a Client Services Account Manager where she managed online marketing campaigns for 3,500 clients including Top 500 Internet Retailers and small-to-medium sized companies. Here she built partnerships and improved cross-functional collaboration to provide a robust customer service experience and growth with metric driven goals and strategies.

Joanna is a Southern California gal and when not unraveling complicated issues or processes, she’s either spending quality time with family, learning the latest and greatest Smartphone or destressing over a Nintendo video-game.

Joanna is a part of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and is working on her SHRM-CP certification.

As her superhero, Joanna has chosen Ma-Ti from Captain Planet and the Planeteers because of his powers and abilities. Specifically, Ma-Ti has a natural empathy and understanding, and his Heart power provides balance and calm to the team.
